My idol Casey
Neistat runs 16 miles why can't I? Soo, I started running.
Hehe, that is one of
the reason but not the only reason. So, in the past two days I ran about 5 km
each day. I start my running from my home i.e Kaushaltar to Koteshwor. It's
about 5 km to and fro. I have couple of reasons why I run, and I will tell you
all. ( this blog is basically about my two days of experience of running. Hehe)
Firstly, the idea of
running to me was inscripted through Casey Neistat from his blog. This guy runs
about 4 miles a day in average and he is so enthusiast and happy about running
that I thought maybe I can give it a try and I am loving it. So, when I run I
feel that I am achieving something, like an instant reward that my brain is
longing for because every time I run I can say to my brain, "See…. you
fucking brain, I can run, I can achieve something" and that is very
essential to the person like me who has anxiety issues.
When I run I also
feel that I am taking care of my body and I am actually taking care of my body.
This cognitive has increased the bond between me and me,
that is to say I think I have started to love myself and that is a real good thing.
That’s about the
mental health, and I am sure I don’t need to talk about the physical wellbeing
due to running.
Not only that, every
time I run I think I am knowing the city more and more. It's a feeling that I
am being more and more close to Kathmandu every time I run. I love the view of
vehicle's light that you get from the overhead bridge in Jadibuti, I love racing
against the motorbike in Koteshwor, the smell of air in the evening and
the rushing air that strikes you back
when you try to move forward (if you run wearing half-pant, that will be an
awesome experience). Moreover, I think a lots of ideas are generated while
running like this blog and another blog that comes in few days about "Risk
of running in Kathmandu".
Had a great day
today, talked with Narad sir about putting PUBG in IT meet and got the positive
response. Did some serious reading in library. ( Currently reading 1984 by George Orwell) and possibly
will have momo today. (momo my all time favorite).
Hope your day too
was awesome.
